Dear Colleagues,
The next IFCC webinar: “Innovations in Point-of-Care Testing – Enhancing Precision and Performance” – will be held on June 11, 2025.
Point-of-care testing (PoCT) is revolutionizing healthcare by offering rapid, accessible diagnostics tailored to diverse healthcare settings. This webinar highlights key advancements, in cancer genetic testing with for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, providing a cost-effective approach to next-generation sequencing that enhances early detection and personalized care. Additionally, artificial intelligence is showcased as a transformative tool for enhancing the quality and efficiency of PoCT, streamlining workflows, and enabling real-time decision-making. Together, these innovations demonstrate the potential of PoCT to redefine healthcare delivery globally, bridging gaps in access and improving outcomes for all. Insights from a survey conducted in Africa also reveal the unique challenges and opportunities in implementing PoCT across the continent, emphasizing the need for equitable access, infrastructure improvements, and strategic resource allocation.
This webinar comprises of three following presentations of 20 min each followed by 20 min of panel discussion at the end.
