Antibiotic resistance is one of the most serious threats to global health. According to WHO, more than 1.27 million people die every year from antibiotic-resistant infections, and this figure is growing rapidly. In the conditions of war in Ukraine, the problem is exacerbated: injuries, prolonged hospitalization, damage to infrastructure, and uncontrolled use of antibiotics create ideal conditions for the spread of resistant infections.
In response to this challenge, ACCLMU is initiating the creation of the Phage Therapy Center – a modern platform for the development, research and implementation of phage therapy as an effective alternative to antibiotics.
